To factory reset an iMac G5, restart the computer and hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys to enter Recovery Mode. Once in Recovery Mode, use the Disk Utility to erase the hard drive, then reinstall the original macOS that came with your iMac G5 from the macOS Utilities menu.
