To connect your MacBook Pro 2013 to HDMI, you will need a Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter. Simply connect the Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt end of the adapter to your MacBook, then connect the HDMI cable from your TV or monitor to the HDMI end of the adapter.
